GLENMORANGIE NECTAR D’OR
Glenmorangie is a pioneer in maturation techniques. It was the first distillery to bottle whiskies finished in port and madeira casks and is widely regarded as the first distillery to master double maturation. Bill Lumsden, director of distilling and whisky creation at the famous distillery, completely won us over with his single malt finished in Sauternes barrels, which invigorate the spirit and provide additional layers of complexity.After the Margaux appellation and, more precisely, the use of barrels from the eponymous château, Bill Lumsden, head of the barrel finish programme at Glenmorangie, visited a prestigious château in Sauternes to concoct this version that successfully lives up to its name: Nectar d’Or (golden nectar).
