Description
Dagueneau, “Pur Sang”
The source for “Pur Sang” is a south-facing single parcel that holds soils rich in flint, clay, and limestone. It is an intoxicatingly rich barrel-aged cuvée that delivers intense texture, lushness, and perfume, generally more so than “Silex” in hot vintages like 2019. “Pur Sang” translates to thoroughbred, and its name was chosen by Didier as a tongue-in-cheek response to journalists who would incessantly talk about his vineyards being plowed by horse.
