Description
Jean-Louis Chave, Sélection Hermitage “Blanche”
There are few white wines on the planet that can compete with the power of the Northern Rhône. Chave’s Sélection Hermitage “Blanche” comes mainly from the lieu-dit Maison Blanche which sits atop the hill of Hermitage. It’s a fraction of the price of their Hermitage Blanc and way more accessible to pop the cork to experience the greatness of this historic estate.
The palate is pleasantly oily and full-bodied, showing flavors of fresh yellow apples, honey suckle, crushed stones, ripe yellow plums and a touch of melon rind. This wine should be decanted for thirty minutes, then served at cellar temperature into large Bordeaux stems;
