Description
MASI BROLO DI CAMPOFIORIN
93 points Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The 2008 Brolo Campofiorin Oro is like a Riserva version of the Ripasso-inspired Campofiorin. This is a gorgeous wine that nails that difficult balance between power and elegance. The bouquet is chiseled and linear with etched notes of crushed granite and smoke that open to softer tones of ripe fruit, wet earth and porcino mushroom. The wine is densely textured and layered with soft tannins that wrap around the finish. (ML) (10/2013)

Deep ruby. Red fruits, chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Rich and suave in the mouth, with ripe red fruit and chocolate flavors that are ample but lack a little complexity. Finishes smooth and moderately long. The word brolo is equivalent to the French clos (a walled vineyard); this wine is made from a special selection of the best grapes available, all native and mainly Corvina. (3/2012)
